The Labor Party’s Interim National Council convened at SEIU headquarters in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 15. The Council thanked Kit Costello for her hard work as LP co-chair. (Costello recently stepped down from the presidency of CNA.) The INC elected two new co-chairs. Current LP co-chairs are (from left): UE Secretary-Treasurer Bob Clark, FLOC President Baldemar Velasquez, Bill Kane of the New Jersey Industrial Union Council, and Barbara Walden of Bakery Workers Local 19.

The March of the Americas crossed the George Washington Bridge into New York City after a 31-day trek from Washington, D.C. The march, coordinated by the Kensington Welfare Rights Union, an LP affiliate, demanded economic human rights for all. Marchers ended their journey on Nov. 1 with a rally at the UN.
